Startup Stories: MariHealth Solutions
MariHealth Solutions is bringing molecular evidence to aquaculture. Its proteomics platform reads more than 3,000 proteins in a single sample, turning fish biology into data that feed makers, farmers and researchers can act on.
Born at the University of Cape Town in 2021, the company now works with clients on three continents, across salmon, trout, shrimp and abalone. The approach holds up because the science is rigorous, results come back in days rather than months, and every finding is interpreted with an aquaculture vet instead of handed over as a spreadsheet.
Join Prof Vernon Coyne and Dr Sarah Carroll for a conversation on how proteomics could change the way we feed, farm and protect fish, and where else it could go.
